The United States: Past and Present
Known and revered equally for its wild beauty and socially conservative Mormon culture, Utah is a western state like no other. Though marked by great violence at its founding, Utah has a less freewheeling and lawless frontier history, due to the firm control of the Mormon dominated culture and government. Most of the state's wildness is to be found in its awe-inspiring landscapes.
