Kids During the American Civil War

During the most bloody conflict in our nation's history, young boys served as drummer boys in battle. Girls were immersed in politics, writing letters to the front and keeping farms going while brothers and fathers were at war. Kids today will understand what a war means, epecially when fought in one's backyard.
