Fundamentalism

Global Issues

Fundamentalism refers to the most conservative, literal interpretation of a religious faith, including its texts and laws. While much of the world has become more modern and secular than ever before, there has been an increase in the influence of groups that take a black-and-white view of religious matters. This book reviews the history, causes, and impacts of fundamentalism. The text explains some of the local and international conflicts that have occurred due to clashes between fundamentalists and those with differing beliefs.
