"Writing
biography for early elementary students isn't easy, there is the need to make
readers understand why the person is famous and to think about what the
subject's accomplishments mean to contemporary children. This series does just
that, selecting the most important bits of information to share in the
well-illustrated format. Each book ends with a statement connecting the student
to the book's subject. I have been looking for biographies for my younger
