Art and Religion in Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt and its mysterious pyramids, mummies, and religious beliefs have long fascinated people. Ancient Egypt is also a society known for its tomb paintings, highly ornate sarcophagi, and jewelry made from gold and precious gems. Students will learn about the different gods the Egyptians worshiped, how changing political systems impacted religion, and how art was integrally tied into Egyptians' idea of the afterlife.
