Animal Superpowers
Amazing traits and adaptations of animals such as the dung beetle, hummingbirds, and rats are brought to the forefront. Informative text, full-color photographs, and sidebars detailing just what makes each animal so super will immediately engage young readers. The Common Core Standards place a new emphasis on informational texts, which are now recommended to make up 50 percent of the English and Language Arts curriculum. Readers are provided the tools needed to excel in reading for content area, information, and developing content-specific vocabulary--and they will do it all while having fun learning new facts about some very cool animals.
