Park Ranger

Park ranger is perhaps the quintessential outdoor career! Rangers spend much of their time patrolling and maintaining national and state parks. The United States has more than 400 national state parks, located from the state of Alaska to the territory of Guam. And there are thousands of state parks in the United States! This offers trained park rangers a wide range of locations, environments, and challenges to choose from. However, rangers don't just police our parks. They inspire and educate visitors. They help maintain and protect our parks for future generations.
