Understanding the United States Constitution
Every week brings to light new issues that challenge our views on questions we thought were long-since resolved. The U.S. Constitution remains a document against which the most contentious topics can always be weighed, but our Founding Fathers could not have foreseen such a dramatic changes in culture and technology. This series examines issues such as freedom and its limits with regards to issues such as marriage and civil rights, immigration, gun ownership, privacy, abortion, taxation, and the separation of church and state. Readers are introduced to some of the controversies surrounding these issues with citations of legal briefs, judicial decisions, and court transcripts.
