Character Strength
When looking at predictors of success, researchers have found that certain character strengths reinforce academic success. While a strength like grit gives a student the heart to keep trying, s/he needs zest for the energy to stay the course, and self-control for the focus to make it happen. This series defines each of these essential strengths, explores the interaction between these strengths, and guides readers in discovering and developing these strengths within themselves. Sidebars profile people famous for embodying these strengths as well as checklists for challenging readers to improve their character strengths and skills. This goal-oriented series will be a great asset in building a character education library for the classroom.
