Meet Lois Lowry
Lois Lowry has never wanted to do anything but write. She wrote her first book, A Summer to Die, in 1976, and since then has been writing great favorites including the Anastasia Krupnik series, as well as Newbery Award-winners Number the Stars and The Giver. Daughter of an army officer, Lois Lowery has drawn from her exciting life experiences to create wonderful works of fiction that delight kids everywhere.
