Learning About the Movement of the Sun and Other Stars with Graphic Organizers

Every day the Sun appears to move in an arc from east to west across the sky. In this book, students will learn that this apparent movement is really due to the movement of Earth. They can explore how the Sun and other stars really move, and how our view of the night sky changes as Earth orbits the Sun throughout the year. Other night sky objects are discussed, including meteors and comets. A sky map of constellations and a chart of night sky objects are two of the many tools used to illustrate this important Earth science concept.
