Technology of Ancient Rome

Primary Sources of Ancient Civilizations

The ancient Romans are known for their amazing architectural feats, such as the Colosseum, or the Forum. Romans also had indoor plumbing, a sewage system, and many other technologies that were extremely advanced for the time. Perhaps one of the most amazing technologies of Rome were the amazing aqueduct systems that carried water to all parts of their empire. The Romans also built an enduring system of roads, many of which are still in use today.
